When you believe in something, you have a firm conviction as to itโ€™s goodness. Youโ€™re confident about it.

A lot of us have gifts, enormous and beautifulโ€Šโ€”โ€Šbehind closed doors, in our bedrooms, bathrooms, diaries and journals. We prefer to keep it that way, we are scared of the worldโ€™s perception of that gift, sometimes a skill or brilliant idea. Hence we hold it dear only to us like a treasure that shouldnโ€™t be discovered.

The feeling becomes even worse when you see others with similar gifts like yours owning their shine and basking in the excellence the gift brought upon them. You ask yourself why itโ€™s different for them, why is it different for you? Why canโ€™t I do the same? Why canโ€™t I bring forth mine like this?

FEAR!

Feeling afraid, anxious or apprehensive about a probable event that youโ€™ve conjured in your head, fearing itโ€™s possibilities and outcomes.

You see, fear is normalโ€Šโ€”โ€Šit absolutely is. Iโ€™ve heard somewhere that if your goals/aims/dreams donโ€™t scare or arouse fear in you, maybe itโ€™s time to dream bigger. Fear is normal, it is what you do with fear that makes the difference.

Do you let it cripple you? Do you give yourself a thousand reasons why that imaginary situation youโ€™ve conjured in your mind would be the worst experience for you? Youโ€™re afraid of failing? You donโ€™t want to be criticized?

So what?

Youโ€™re afraid! Whatโ€™s the worst that could happen? Everyone is afraid of one thing or the other. The difference between you and that person who seems to be utilizing their gift is they didnโ€™t let fear cripple or hold them back. They took action!

Instead of imagining the worst that could happen and cringing from the possibility of itโ€™s occurrence, why not start and brave up.

I wish I could, itโ€™s not easy! Yes, itโ€™s definitely not easy, nothing is! How about starting with self love. Love yourself enough in the image Allah has made you in. Revel in your glory and uniqueness. Being grateful for the blessings you enjoy helps.

Grow from this to building this strong belief in yourself. When you believe in yourself, you have a firm conviction as to your goodness and what you bring forth. Youโ€™re confident about what you can do!

This firm conviction can help you surmount the fears you may have when it comes to taking actions on your gift, on realizing and working on your purpose.

People will sense how well you believe in yourself and will react to that energy. How will people believe in you when you donโ€™t believe in you?

I am me!

I am me!

I am me!

Love thyself!

Believe in thyself!

Believe in thy gifts!
